About the event
May's showcase is bringing me back to my Capital Region musical roots. Once upon a time, a bar called Positively 4th St. in Troy incubated many musicians as they honed their skills, ran open mics, and got into the shenanigans that musicians usually do.
I was one of those musicians, and Kim Buckley was another. So, we're teaming up to take a nostalgic journey with you through our song catalogues for this unique showcase.
Niki Kaos, aka Niki Lee, has been writing original music and performing in the Capital Region and beyond for over three decades. With an indie, Alt-rock, anti-folk vibe that draws from jazz and blues influences, her songwriting dances with catchy melodies and quirky bridges. Exploring the human experience, this rare solo performance will dig deep and share the stories behind the songs.
