WAMM features talented women-led acts from the Capital Region at this monthly showcase. From singer-songwriter to rock, pop, R&B, Americana, and more - every show brings something different!
July's showcase features Anti-Rent Rebellion, blending social commentary with humor and a deep passion for justice. Like the tenants' revolt that inspired their name, the band's bold and defiant lyrics address socially relevant issues while injecting a dose of tongue-in-cheek humor, reflecting an irreverent attitude towards injustice and complacency, and a rebellious spirit that refuses to be quelled.
Following the feature act, members of the WAMM Jam All-Stars will take the stage to perform songs from their ever-expanding catalogue. With a diverse and eclectic list of covers and original tunes, there's something for everyone. The audience is encouraged to sing along if they know the song!
